Physical Activity Serving Society (PASS)

Physical Activity Serving Society (PASS)

Sport and Citizenship have launched their “Physical Activity Serving Society”-Project (PASS) which aims at promoting physical activity in Europe.

The project, also inspired by the global physical activity framework Designed to Move started in January 2015 and will be carried out for a period of three years. The responsibility of the ICSSPE Network will be to gather and analyse data on the scale, costs and consequences of the physical activity crisis in Europe; to raise awareness towards decision makers; and to engage changemakers in relevant sectors to support change.

The project – according to the EU-Mobility action – would focus on grassroots sport, by improving the knowledge and know-how of sport staff and developing international cooperation in the field of learning mobility in sport.

In our proposition grassroots sport includes school sport and physical education as well, since these areas have tremendous effect on the overall level and quality of grassroots sports and physical activity.
